Terms and Conditions

For all FRESH2008 participants:

The General Terms and Condition for participation at FRESH2008 apply to contractual relations between the participant and Market Intelligence Ltd.

Terms and Conditions of payment/participant

All delegate fees must be paid in full prior to attending FRESH2008. Organisers reserve the right to prevent entry to FRESH2008 to delgates who have failed to pay their FRESH fees in full.

Cancellation/substitute bookings

If registration is cancelled up to 40 days before the start of the event, Market Intelligence Ltd is entitled to charge 25% of the participation fee as a processing fee. If the participant cancels within 40 to 14 days before the start of the conference, Market Intelligence Ltd is entitled to charge 50% of the participation fee as a processing fee. The entire participation fee is payable if the participant cancels after this period, unless the participant nominates a substitute. Cancellations must be made in writing.

Cancellation of the event

Market Intelligence Ltd is entitled to reschedule, shorten, partially or completely terminate the conference for factual reasons, in particular if unforeseen events occur (for example, force majeure, withdrawal of speakers) or to withdraw from the entire conference.

In all cases, however, Market Intelligence Ltd will inform participants in time about the cancellation or required changes to the program. If an event is cancelled, Market Intelligence Ltd will reimburse any fees already paid.

Any other claims are excluded, unless these arise from the willful negligent behavior of employees or other auxiliary staff of Market Intelligence Ltd.

Limitation of liability of Market Intelligence Ltd

Market Intelligence Ltd is not liable for loss of or damage to any items brought along to conferences. These items are kept in conference rooms at the participant's risk. Market Intelligence Ltd is not liable for any loss, destruction or damage, including pecuniary loss, unless the loss of or damage to these items is due to the willful negligent behavior of employees or other auxiliary staff of Market Intelligence Ltd.

Participants are therefore requested not to leave any valuables or other important materials in conference rooms during breaks.

Changes to the conference programme

Within reason, Market Intelligence Ltd reserves the right to make any changes required in exceptional cases to the conference programme, the conference dates, speakers or the conference location. Participants will be informed about any such changes. Any queries in this regard are to be directed to Market Intelligence Ltd.

Copyright laws

The working documents distributed within the framework of a conference are protected by copyright, and may not be - even partially - reproduced or used commercially without the consent of Market Intelligence Ltd and the relevant speaker.

Data protection

Market Intelligence Ltd is entitled to save and process for its own use all data on a participant related to the implementation of a conference, taking into account the provisions of the UK Data Protection Act.

Applicable law/place of jurisdiction

The law of the UK exclusively governs these terms and conditions and all legal relations between the participant and Market Intelligence Ltd. The place of jurisdiction is London, UK.

Concluding provisions

Any changes or supplements to the contact or to these terms and conditions must be made in writing. One-sided changes or supplements made by the participant are invalid.

If individual provisions of the contract with the participant, including these General Terms and Conditions, or a provision within the framework of other arrangements between the participant and Market Intelligence Ltd become entirely or partially invalid, the validity of other provisions is not affected by this. The provision that becomes entirely or partially invalid is to be replaced by a provision whose economic success comes closest to the invalid provision.
